Data Deletion

Last updated June 23, 2026

This page explains how to revoke bluo’s access to a connected social account and how to request deletion of the data we hold about you. It covers data we receive from Meta Platforms (Instagram and Facebook) as well as from YouTube and Twitch.

Disconnect a connected account

The fastest way to stop bluo from accessing your account is to disconnect it inside the product:

  • Sign in to the bluo talent portal.
  • Open the Socials tab.
  • Find the connected account and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting immediately revokes bluo’s access, stops any further syncing, and removes the stored authorization tokens for that account.

Remove bluo from Instagram or Facebook

You can also revoke access from Meta directly. In your Instagram or Facebook account, open Settings → Apps and websites (or, on Instagram, Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites), find bluo, and remove it. This revokes the access token Meta issued to bluo.

Request full deletion of your data

To request deletion of the personal data and connected-account data bluo holds about you, email privacy@bluo.io from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Data deletion request”. We will verify the request and complete it within 30 days, and we will email you to confirm when it is done.

What gets deleted

  • The profile information we synced from the connected account, such as username, display name, profile picture, and audience counts.
  • The content and engagement metrics we synced, such as recent posts, captions, likes, comments, reach, saves, shares, and views.
  • The authorization tokens issued for the connection.
  • On a full account deletion request, the personal data in your bluo account, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or accounting reasons.

How Meta Platform data is handled

Data received from Instagram and Facebook is used only to display the connected creator’s own analytics inside their agency’s workspace and in the media kits, decks, and reports the agency creates. We follow the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including their limited-use requirements. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
